These terms apply to the Image Inspector Android app. Image Inspector shows the metadata stored in photos (for example camera, exposure, timestamps and GPS location) and can save copies with that metadata removed. Please read them before you buy or use the app.
1. Agreement
By downloading or using Image Inspector you agree to these terms. Purchases are also covered by the Google Play Terms of Service. How the app handles your data is explained in the Image Inspector Privacy Policy.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Image Inspector on Android devices you own or control, as allowed by Google Play. You may not resell, redistribute or rent the app, or copy, modify or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows you to. The app, its design and its content remain ours.
3. Price
Image Inspector is a paid app. You pay once on Google Play, in your local currency, and the price is shown before you buy. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no ads. Your purchase is tied to your Google account, so you can reinstall the app on your devices at no extra cost.
4. Updates
Updates we release are free for everyone who bought the app.
5. Payments and refunds
Google Play processes every payment. We never see or store your card or payment details. You can ask for a refund through Google Play (Google handles requests made within 48 hours of purchase), or email us and we will help where we can. Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policies.
6. Your content and how you use the output
Your photos and videos stay on your device and remain yours. We don't claim any rights to them. You are responsible for the files you process and share, and for having the right to use them.
The app shows metadata exactly as it is stored in the file. That data can be missing, wrong or edited by other software, so don’t rely on it as proof of where, when or how a photo was taken. Always check a cleaned copy before sharing it.
7. Changes to the app
We may update Image Inspector to fix problems, add features or keep up with Android and Google Play. We work to keep features you have paid for working, but we can't guarantee the app will run on every device or Android version, or that it will always be available on Google Play.
8. Warranty and liability
Image Inspector is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the loss of files you didn't back up. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app or Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms affects the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live, including any right to a remedy for digital content that is faulty or not as described. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK, those mandatory rules apply to you whatever these terms say.
10. Ending
You can stop using Image Inspector at any time by uninstalling it (cancel any subscription separately in Google Play). We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. Changes don't apply to purchases you made before them.
