Private OCR Studio ("the app") performs optical character recognition (OCR) on documents and images entirely on your device.

Summary

• Your documents are processed locally on your device.
• No documents are uploaded to the developer's servers or any third party.
• No account is required.
• No advertising and no analytics/telemetry.

What the app handles

• Documents you open (PDFs and images): read from your device and processed in memory and in temporary files on your device to produce OCR output. They are never transmitted off the device by the app.
• Output files (searchable PDF, text, Word, CSV) are written to the output folder you choose on your device.
• Settings (language, DPI, output formats, last-used and output folders) are stored locally using Windows settings storage.
• Logs for troubleshooting are written to %LOCALAPPDATA%\PrivateOcrStudio\. They may contain file names and error details, remain on your device, and are not transmitted.

Network use

The app is designed to run fully offline. OCR language models are bundled with the app, so no model download is required and an internet connection is not needed to use it.

Data sharing

We do not collect, sell, or share any personal data, because the app does not transmit your data anywhere.

Children's privacy

The app is a general-purpose productivity tool, is not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the date above and the policy published at the privacy policy URL.
