This Privacy Policy describes how the Duplicate & Similar Finder Cleaner application (the "App") handles information when you install and use it on a Windows device. It applies to the App distributed by us, including through the Microsoft Store where applicable.

1. Summary

Duplicate & Similar Finder Cleaner is designed to process your files on your device. We do not operate the App as a cloud service that uploads your files to our servers for scanning or duplicate detection in the normal use of the App as described in our product materials.

2. Information the App processes locally

When you use the App, it may:

• Read file metadata and contents from folders you select (for example, paths, sizes, modification times, and file data needed to compute hashes or image fingerprints).
• Write a local cache database on your device to speed up repeat scans (typically under your Windows user profile, e.g. in Local App Data), containing technical data such as paths and hash values associated with files you have scanned.
• Write local log files on your device for troubleshooting and diagnostics in development builds; in typical use these logs are stored locally and are not transmitted to us unless you choose to send them (for example, by emailing a log to support).

We do not use this information to build advertising profiles and we do not sell your personal information.

3. Data we do not intentionally collect in the App

The App is not intended to collect:

• Account passwords unrelated to the App
• Keystrokes
• Clipboard contents
• Contacts or messages
• Precise real-time location

If you believe the App is accessing unexpected data, contact us using the email above.

4. Microsoft Store and Windows platform

If you obtain the App through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft may process certain information according to Microsoft's privacy policy and Store terms (for example, related to downloads, updates, licensing, and Store diagnostics). Our App does not control Microsoft's practices. Please review Microsoft's policies separately.

5. Third-party services

The App may rely on standard Windows features (for example, sending files to the Recycle Bin, reading the file system, and displaying the user interface). The App's core duplicate-finding functionality described in our public materials does not require sending your files to a third-party cloud service operated by us for analysis.

If we ever introduce optional online features (for example, automatic crash reporting or update checks that transmit data to us), we will update this policy and, where required, provide appropriate notice and controls.

6. Children's privacy

The App is a general-purpose productivity utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. Security

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Because the App processes files locally, the primary security considerations are your device security (malware, shared accounts, backups) and your choices when deleting or moving files. Always review files before removal.

8. Your choices

You can delete the App at any time using Windows' standard uninstall flow.

You may delete local cache or log files stored under your user profile if you no longer want them on disk (doing so may reset performance benefits from caching).

9. International users

If you use the App outside your home country, information may be processed on your device according to your Windows settings and local law. If you contact us by email, your message may be stored according to our normal email provider practices.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate (for example, in release notes or in-app where feasible).
