DiskAtlas Pro does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. It makes no network connections of any kind.

What the app does with your data

DiskAtlas Pro reads the names, sizes, and modification dates of files and folders on drives you explicitly choose to scan. This information is held in memory for the duration of the scan so it can be displayed to you, and is discarded when you close the app or start a new scan.

When comparing files to find duplicates, the app reads file contents in order to compare them. Those contents are never stored, copied, or transmitted; they are read, compared, and discarded.

What leaves your computer

Nothing. DiskAtlas Pro contains no networking code, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no update checks. It works identically with your computer disconnected from the internet.

Files the app writes

DiskAtlas Pro only writes files when you explicitly ask it to, and only where you choose:

• Snapshots (.dasnap) — a saved scan, so a later scan can be compared against it. Saved to a location you pick.
• Exports (CSV, JSON, HTML) — saved to a location you pick.
• A local diagnostic log — if the app encounters an unexpected error, the error details are appended to a log file in your temporary folder so you can report the problem. It is never sent anywhere and you can delete it at any time.

Deleting files

DiskAtlas Pro can move files you select to the Recycle Bin. It never deletes anything without you choosing it and confirming. Deletion always uses the Recycle Bin by default so items can be restored. Drive roots, the Windows folder, program directories, and your profile's main folders cannot be deleted through the app at all.

Files stored in the cloud

Files that OneDrive or a similar service keeps online rather than on your disk are identified and skipped during duplicate comparison, specifically so the app never causes them to be downloaded.

Children's privacy

DiskAtlas Pro collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the date above will be revised.
