Crosshair DeadCenter ("the app") is published by Zeeshan Khalid (manxlr) ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with information. In short: the app collects no personal data and sends nothing over the internet.
What the app does not do
- It doesn't connect to the internet. It has no online services, analytics, telemetry, advertising or crash-reporting services.
- It doesn't require an account or sign-in.
- It doesn't read, modify or inject into other programs, including games. It doesn't read game memory and doesn't record keystrokes. Global hotkeys use the standard Windows
RegisterHotKeyservice, which only tells the app when its own key combinations are pressed. - It doesn't take screenshots or record the screen.
Information stored on your PC
The app stores the following locally, in its own app-data folder (%LOCALAPPDATA% inside the app's package). It's never transmitted.
- Settings and crosshair profiles (styles, colors, sizes, hotkeys, chosen monitor) — remember your setup
- The file path of a custom crosshair image, if you choose one — load your image each time
- Diagnostic log files — troubleshooting
The diagnostic logs record app events, the Windows version, and self-check results. When you run "Check with my game", the result includes the title of the window in front (for example, your game's window title) and whether it's fullscreen. This stays in the local log.
Sharing
We receive no data from the app. Information leaves your PC only if you choose to share it, for example by clicking Copy report and pasting the self-check report into a support email. We use such a report only to answer your request, and we delete it when the request is resolved.
Microsoft Store
Microsoft handles purchases, licensing, downloads and updates under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We may see the aggregated, anonymous sales and installation reports Microsoft provides to all publishers.
Removing your data
Uninstall the app. Windows removes the app's package data, including settings and logs. You can also delete individual files from the folder that opens with Self-check → Open logs folder.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future version changes what the app does with information, we'll update this policy and its effective date before releasing that version.
