ClassicPad Editor is a local Windows text editor. It processes documents locally and does not collect or transmit personal data, document content, analytics, advertising identifiers, or account data.

Data collection

ClassicPad does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. The application contains no account system, analytics, advertising SDK, telemetry, crash-reporting service, or online API integration.

Documents

Documents are read from and written to locations selected by the user. Document content is processed locally on the Windows device and is not transmitted by ClassicPad.

Settings

View preferences and window settings are stored locally under the current Windows user profile in %LOCALAPPDATA%\ClassicPad\settings.json. These settings are not transmitted by the application.

Network access

ClassicPad does not require a network connection for its editing features. Windows and Microsoft Store services may independently process Store licensing, installation, updates, or operating-system diagnostics under their own terms.

File associations and permissions

If the user chooses ClassicPad for a supported file type, Windows may launch the application with that selected file. ClassicPad accesses only files the user opens, drops onto the application, or explicitly saves.

Children's privacy

Because ClassicPad does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be described in an updated Store listing or application release.
